what do you folks think. im using a slik tripod now with its own ballhead - was thinking of a quick release until i was at sungei buloh last sunday and saw a chap with a d70, almost have it go to pieces because his quick release gave way - luckily for him, the cam strap was looped to his arm...

hi anyone purchased this item recently? - was quoted by one reputable shop 330 when i checked on sat - and now quoted 340. when i disclosed that it i was quoted 330, i was told that 330 is without the skylight filter, with the filter-340. if anyone has purchased this item recently, please tell...

hi close shots :) i think the g6 may not have improved upon the g5 in the noise region. the g5 was practically useless above above 50iso.the d70 shot looks great. btw sold my g5 and am now using the d70. but the g5 is an awfully nice and compact 'carry around anywhere' kind of camera...

you would need to buy raynox over the net - i had no luck with the shops here-including the established ones- try www.lensmateonline.com - placed an order a couple of weeks back for wide lens and package arrived within 5 days of order. fast and trustworthy.

gymrat, belle & sebastian n catpuke - thanks for the replies and the suggestions - much appreciated. the residue was sort of streaky and just seemed to move around in circles instead of being lifted off the lens. the pen is very new - needs to be broken in like everything else :)

belle & sebastian - re lenspen - do you find that it leaves a residue on the lens? i got mine last weekend and cleaned my lens and it left a smudgy kind of residue that came off only after i used a kanebo cleaning cloth.
