Exactly. you can check out the exif on the settings. they are the same and taken just 5 seconds apart without removing my eyes from the viewfinder. i repeated the test and each time the patch is different.

No shots from this particular one only. this is lighted from a table lamp and it seems to produce this from different lense, even a 17-40 L lense also. That is why i suspect is the cam problem.
