His footnote:" My Impressions of the Canon EOS R. So far this is definitely a camera that needs to be used and fully understood by the user. It's specs may seem somewhat lack lustre on paper but once you use it for yourself many of it functions and features truly makes sense. It's solidly built and it's interface like Canon camera's of the past gen has always the user in mind."

Some bad news for those wish to shoot 60P video with EF-S lenses

Hope Canon will fix this on the firmware updates.
Unlikely. The lack of 60fps in APS-C mode is already stated clearly in the user manual. Looks like a deliberate attempt to prevent videographers from using cheaper EF-S glass.

Ok, ok.. I'll get myself one :) - Jokes aside, thank you very much your efforts.

I think one needs to read carefully what people expected from the camera. A lot of the negative noise comes from unfulfilled expectations, especially with regards to the video capabilities. Secondly, many forget that no maker will cannibalize their existing portfolio by bringing out the 'wonder cam' at a lower price than previous flagship models. As far as I hear, there is still one EOS R model in the pipe and the next 1DX model is already in field testing. Maybe after that we will see how the Canon portfolio shifts.
But then again: I get what makes sense to me and what I am doing, the philosophy is for others.

Thought he uses sony ?
