Oops looks like Mod sulhan's website is down. Hopefully it can be up and running again, the notes have for years benefited many!

First and foremost how can I source for a reasonably affordable camera. I am interested in portrait shooting and landscape shooting. Do you guys share notes for them? Any places to recommend to buy cameras? Should I start with a dslr?

Hello and welcome to the forum. For starters, do you already have a budget for the DSLR that you are planning to get? Are you planning to buy NEW or 2nd HAND? go to the shops to feel the cameras and see which suits you the best, Read up reviews of the cameras that you are keen to own and then decide further.

Nice to hear that, does mod Sulhan mind if his notes are shared again on Clubsnap? If he's ok with it, I don't mind helping to upload and link to this forum again (and maybe avoid his message box getting overloaded with requests )
