Not very video friendly unfortunately. Inexplicably crippled to prevent 60p recording in APS-C mode.
4K has a crop of 1.7X. There is a port for microphone and headphone but I strongly advice anyone buying the EOS R for video to bring along a stereo Y cable or a 2-input mixer and test the stereo mapping of the mic port.
The M5, M6 and M50 does not allow the Left-Right seperation of audio tracks although the spec sheet indicate a stereo mic-input.

On Page 219, it confirms that 50p 1080p in APS-C mode is not supported. This severely disappoints videographers who are thinking of using the EOS-R as a super35 videocam as Caleb Pike suggested. Canon is hellbent on extracting a pound of flesh for their 24-70 f2 and will not allow the much smaller and cheaper EF-S 18-55f2.8 to be used for 50p video filming. The wait continues for a Canon mirrorless that has all the features below, nevermind 4K with or without DPAF!:

EVF (missing in 80D)
True STEREO Mic port ( missing in M5, M6, M50)
Headhone port ( ditto)
50p 1080p APS-C (missing in EOS-R)
