I have a one year old PC. Lightroom 5 runs perfectly well. Being a reactionist, I refused to update to the subscription version. I just installed Luminar 3 and I think I will get a brain haemorrhage waiting for it to load... It's extremely slow!

I am no expert but what I usually do, is convert in camera to JPG and then use WiFi to transfer to phone where I use SnapSeed to edit. This workflow is for adhoc quick edit for Facebook. For serious editing, I use Lightroom.
