Hello I will be making a trip to the USA soon....any idea if lenses (nikons, tamrons, etc) are cheaper there? anybody knows if anything (photography related) at all worth buying in the USA since prices in S'pore are pretty decent to begin with. thanks!

it's a good chance to go digital, so think about it.

it's a keeper. 18-70mm is a good "cover all" situation sort of lens. unless you are a hardcore macro-ist or telephoto-ist, but then there are lens for those situations. keep it unless and until you find something "better" or "cheaper" in that kind of range. (again better is relative!)...

i got a Lowepro Nova AW 1 i have cramped in the D70, plus kit lens, a 70-300mm lens, lens hood for the kit lens, big piece of micro fibre cloth (3M), remote control, 2 spare CF cards, battery case for the D70, lens caps, blower, lens paper, some plastic bags, body caps and other useless bits...

i try to avoid too much post processing...maybe adjust little brightness and contrast, that's all. too much time taken for post processing (for me) and in the hopes of trying to be a better photoshooter, i try (still trying) to get good shots straight from the cam. but with digital, you...

D70 body is made in Thailand. The kit lens, however, is Made in Japan. As for QC, I hope the Japanese transferred their processes and procedures to their overseas factories. How else is Nikon able to sell the D70 at that kind of price if they don't figure out a way to cut costs? Just...
