why not consider a XF100? Records on CF Cards, which you already have lots of since you have a 5D. The MXF codec with 4:2:2 color and 50Mbps would give you more headroom to post and grade. The XA10 after only records in 24Mbps AVCHD. Plus, the XF100 feels better in the hands, its bigger...

yeaps...local warrantied unit. got it at $5250, gst incl. they gave me a free 32GB SanDisk CF Card & a bag. i think the media rocks man, i get like 80mins at full resolution and 50Mbps on a 32GB card. 32GB Card only like $250 bucks?

yeaps... what i was trying to say was taht it didnt affect video quality in any case when i shot with it. and that the XF100 for its price actually does better by giving u 4:2:2 color at 50Mbps...which could give you alot alot of headroom to grade.
