    Top 5 Digital cameras?

Budget is far more important... Most cameras these days are very good. Its a matter of preference for ecosystem (lenses, menus, software, mounts)

    Sony A7III - Lens recommendation

28mm f2.0 is a good lens and my main lens which stays on the camera all the time when I am travelling. Its super light and small and makes for a small package. Dont expect tact sharness at f2.0, think f4.0 and f5.6 is where its best at. It can compete with the 85mm in terms of sharpness as that...

    Sony A7III - Lens recommendation

85mm f1.8 would be my most recommended lens is you were using 50mm on m4/3 which is effectively a 100mm equivalent. Its not too heavy for a 85mm lens and incredibly sharp lens. 35mm would be a good choice too as a compact lens. I mainly use 28mm f2.0 and 85mm f1.8 on my A7. Will be upgrading...

    NEW Sony A7iii Launched!!

Its a tool and since its used for your work no point keeping it if its hindering the process. Don't be too bothered about about snarky responses. I am a Sony fanboi.. Every single playstation, A57, A7, RX100, TV blah blah, but I can understand your point of view.

    Sony FS5 II Launched

https://www.cinema5d.com/sony-interview-fs5-ii-whats-really-new/ New version FS5 II launched. Nothing major like A7II vs A7III but a few minor upgrades. Guess if it ain't broke don't fix it.

    New Body or New Lens?

I would recommend a new lens too.The lens makes a huge impact on image quality much more than body changes in my opinion. I am still on my beat up A7. Recently got the 85mm f1.8 and the boost in image quality from my 28mm and adapted lenses A-mount lenses was very refreshing. However I am 2...

    A7 III launched! Perfect videocam?

Well it would be perfect if it had fully articulating screen and 4k 60p. But its pretty close to perfect. A9 autofocus is biggest plus I can see. The first A7 is still my main camera and this is the perfect upgrade for me. Faster autofocus, Battery life and 4k. The main things I wanted without...

    Canon launch first 4K mirrorless!

Which camera equipment would you rent?

I rent camera gear which would be impractical for me to buy. Rented long telephoto lenses when I needed to shoot for a graduation. Rented a FS700 with lens when I needed to shoot slow-mo 2nd reason is to try out a lens before I buy it so that would mean a one time rental only.

    Next Lens for Sony A7ii

Same boat as you and the lens which interests me the most is the new 24-105mm f4.

    Focus Peaking and Peaking Level

I use it mainly for video and when I am using adapted lenses such as old FD, M42 lenses. Settings on my A7 Af/MF button is set to toggle between AF/MF (default is hold to switch between AF/MF) C2 custom button is set to zoom in to confirm focus (Very critical as just relying on peaking if you...

    Sony A7ii battery

This one https://www.sony.com/electronics/interchangeable-lens-cameras-batteries-chargers/ac-pw20 This is the official Sony one you can get a cheaper chinese versions which works equally well. But this is strictly when you have a power source and comes in handy if you are recording video for...

    Sony A7ii battery

A7 series till A7RII biggest weakness was battery like for me. I was an early adopter and still use my A7. I own 5 batteries and can easily burn through 3-4 batteries in a day. At home if I am recording video or doing studio strobe stuff I will connect a fake dummy battery connected via ac power.

Recommended center for Lightroom course (SkillsFuture)

Youtube can be chaotic but there are structured courses if you like that. Otherwise online learning platforms works out well too. One example which I used previously was lynda. I have also bought the ebooks for my camera from Gary Friedman. That helped me a lot. Another one which seems...

Rumors of a new GH5-S version

Yeah I was hoping for addition of something like canon dual pixel autofocus + low light performance. Although low light performance was improved removing IBIS is a huge bummer especially when you want to use old non native adapted lenses using adapters. Oh in case you have anamorphic lenses...
