Thanks for the prompt replies guys. Yes, it is due to the diffuser that causes the zoom to be locked at 14mm. My bad, should have gone through the manual more thoroughly.

Got my SB600 from iPhoto sometime in late Nov. Only till last weekend when I took it out for shoot and realized that the auto zoom function was not working properly. My D90 was mounted with a 35mm but the SB600 indicated the zoom at 14mm. Kelvin is steady and told me to go down to exchange...

Did you take note of the number at the bottom right of your viewfinder when you inshooting the burst? That is the number of shots you can take before the buffer is filled. Since you are taking Raw+jpeg, it would definitely take longer for the camera to write to the card, hence slower in freeing...

I have read somewhere that 1/60 is the default slowest shutter speed, you can shoot at faster shutter like 1/1xx. If you want to change this setting, it is at Custom Setting option e1 I think.

When I was shopping for my D90, I got a qoute from iPhoto, the shop where Lord is operating from, for that 18-200mm kit lens too. You might want to check with them.

Thanks for the advice. I have actually set aside a separate budget for a dry cabinet too. As for the D90, I am contemplating buying the body plus 18-55 instead and hopefull can squeeze in a simple flash, SB400. Will this be a good idea?

I recall reading from Ken Rockwell site that he actually prefer the 18-55 over the 18-105. He said something like he would rather give the kit 18-105 lens on a d90 a miss and buy the 18-55 plus 50mm f1.8 or f1.4 instead.

Thanks for clearing the air. Anyway, got a qoute from MS and the price of Kit 1 has kind of wipe off my budget. Will decide between this and the Canon 550D
