all their grip base are currently out of stock. I think they make these individually so may take a while. they have an ebay page that ships to Singapore, but usually the E-M5 grips already sold out from their main webpage and amazon before it reach ebay.

i dont think OMD is too expensive if you factor in EVF, magnesium alloy, weathersealing, 5-axis IBIS and 9fps shooting. in fact, i might say E-PL5 is a little expensive. body vs body it's just about $300+ difference which you already get your worth with what I enumerated above.

Sadly, no. I checked and you can only use Myset on the Fn1 and the battery grip buttons (BFn1, BFn2). To me Fn1 placement is okay, it takes me about a second or two to hold it and focus. I wouldn't use manual focus for quick action anyway, probably use hyperfocal focus instead.

you can use any Fn button if im not mistaken, maybe with the battery grip buttons you can use also, not sure though

It was suggested that the Key Line art filter is like focus peaking. Tried doing MF on that filter and the focused area will be the dark contrast area

I have the E-M5 but is tempted to switch. The AF is putting me off though. Still deciding if I jump now or wait for further improvements...

is this really a common thing for the X-series? any actual attestations from users here? i shoot street so it sounds like a bummer...
