    What's up with this guy??

I just can't believe what this guy is up to. Trying to make a $100+ profit on a lens which he isn't the first owner of? http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?p=1723310#post1723310

    Anything other than dry cabinet

I got the iCase drybox with hygrometer and silica pack from Carrefour at Suntec for under $30 a few months back. Just big enough for my D70S and three lenses. A bottle of silica gel sells for less than $4 at the camera section, if I can recall correctly. I'm saving for a dry cabinet now as...

    Why Large Aperture?

Sharper, no. It lets in more light if you're shooting in dim lighting conditions. With that you could shoot at a faster shutter speed to reduce camera shake while handholding. And it also helps to blur the background even more.

Thinking of getting a Tripod for my D50

Go to Cathay Photo at Peninsula Plaza. Browse thru the tripod section and you may find one that suits your need. Or just ask the staff there for advice. Really friendly people. Bringing along you camera and lens helps too.

    Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2005

The 2nd pic has a weird effect on me. I actually thought the hands and head were of the same person the first time I looked at it.:bsmilie:

    Question on portrait

A longer focal length and larger aperture may help to blur the background.

What to do with dust INSDIE lens??

It's common for zoom lens to have dust in them. Each time you zoom air/dust gets sucked into it. If it doesn't affect your images save the time and money, and live with it. Unless its a very serious case. You may want to send it for servicing but after some time dust will get into it again...

Anybody tried 3rd Party split prism focus screen dor D70?

D70 focussing screen really electronic one meh? I didn't see anything electronic on mine when I replaced it some time ago. But I tried taking some pictures without the focusing screen. The viewfinder was super bright. :bsmilie: But the images suffered some serious vignetting.

    Lines and a crescent moon

Thanks for the comments, foxtwo. Really appreciate it.:) The two pictures were intentionally underexposed to give the sky a deeper blue because the sky in the originals looked really plain. And also to get a more silhoutted look for the post holding the cables, and the roof. Still got lots...

    (fun quiz)What's your belief?

The top score on the list below represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic, in its less than infinite wisdom, thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by this faith, or vice versa. Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26...

blue dot in the image - Any Canon S2IS user encounter this before?

Maybe it's a hot pixel due to long exposures. I used to get lots of these dots using my old Nikon CP775 for night shots. Anyway, the buildings in the picture look like they have a water colour like effect. Is it caused by some kind of noise reduction?
