Hi all, Can the Gitzo 1542 take Nikon 70-200mm lens + D200 + battery pack weight ? Or should I get the 2531 instead? I would like to bring this tripod when I travel overseas. Although the 2531 is light but the 1542 is more compact and packs easily into my luggage. Please advise. Thanks.

BTW, what is a good lens to bring for this event? is 24-70 good enough or 70-200?
