Always ask for hand check, but failing that the x-ray scanner for hand carry items will not harm film if it is under ISO 800. NEVER put film in your checked luggage, as the much stronger machines used to scan it will ruin the film.

I have both plastic and metal film developing tanks. Personally, I prefer the metal ones as I find that the plastic Patterson tank I have leaks when turning the tank over during agitation. Metal is a bit trickier at first to load the film on the spool, but once you get used to it (practice with...
