Did it format OK in the PC? i.e. can you read it from the PC still? If you can....do you know anyone with another camera you could try to format it with? Also....have you tried another card in your camera to make sure it's working OK?

Might not even need a low level. I'd put it in a card reader and try and simply format it with the computer, then back in the camera and see if it will format then. Can you check another CF card in the camera slot? How big is the card in question?
