    Sigma ring flash

Hi, Has anybody tries out the sigma ring flash? Is it any good? I was quote $640 by John 3:16 only about $200 cheaper than the Canon ring flash, so if the quality differ a lot, maybe it better to get the Canon ring flash.

    CF card for Canon 300D

I am using the normal Hagiwara 512MB CF card (check their Jap website, I think it approx. 10X speed) shooting firework in blub mode at ISO100 in large JPEG. If the file is 2.5MB it should take about 2 sec. to complete the writing, so I guess it should be normal. Just get furstrated that cannot...

    EF 28-135mm IS vs SP 35-105 2.8

Depend on what you are doing, if you need fast shutter speed to freeze movement, no good having a IS lens that allows you to shoot in slower shutter speed. But if depth of field is more critical like landscape the Canon IS lens will allows you to hand hold at least 2 stop slower than you focal...

Need Advice on Tripod for Travel

A carbon fiber tripod are both stable and Light weight and it is very costly $600+. I think you have to sacrifice some weight advantage for stablity if price is a concern. The manfrotto 190 tripod are very heavy not suitable for travel.

    Nd Grad

Heard that Singh-Ray ND filters are good but don't seem to be selling in Singapore. I brought a Cokin ND4 GD for $27 at CP. But you first has to purchase a filterholder $10 and a Adaptor ring that can screw on to your lens, price depend on size.

    Definition & Cal of stops

I think should be 15 not 16. One way to know the stops is to set your camera to TV (Shutter prioty) and if you camera in in half stop increment, everytime you turn the dial buttion on your camera it is half stop different so turn 4 time you will be able to get 2 stop different which is 15.
