Got a copy of this sweet lens last Saturday from EE and got some super SHARP results shots! Images produced are definitely sharper than the 17-55 f/2.8 on my friend's D300s, and on par with the 14-24 f/2.8 on another's D3. IMO, though it look cheap as its more 'plastiky feel' and i find that...

After reading the reviews, it seems like the images taken by this 16-35 is sharper than the 17-35 & 24-70...;) Anyways...just got a copy of it earlier today, initial test was that the images taken are really very very sharp. IMO its on par, if not SHARPER as compared to the same image taken...
