    well the voltage limit for all DSLRs is 6volt = 4 AA batteries. If the 285V exceeds the volt limit it might as well burn your camera functions.

    Thanks for that useful advise I will bear that in mind. Actually I do not want expensive equipment but is just that I want to spend for once on a good equipment for use. Thanks anyway. :)

    thanks timlim for your help. now i am in the process of reconsidering with my family. So if you say D100 and D70s, which of these 2 cameras have better specs in your point of view? I am currently using film medium.
