Have a 50mm 1.8 which suddenly went soft on me when I took it out to use after a few months. Image on view finder looks fine, but after taking n viewing in the camera screen the image looks soft throughout! Other lenses are fine, so it's not the camera. Any one has similar experience...

I was thinking about this lens, then I have the 50mm1.8. I can't think of any reason to get this? Anyone wants to help me do ab anaylsis?

Hi all, I did a quick check by calling up 2 respectable camera shops for the price of the Sigma 10-20mm. One quoted me $888 and the other $910 both with GST. Now, looking at the price of the EFS-10-20mm which is about only $1.1k and is a faster lens. Is the Sigma still worth considering...
