Japan have many famous and renown camera brands, e.g. Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Pantax, Panasonic, Olympus...etc. But most are not made in Japan due to high cost. Most important is find the camera system that suits your needs instead of just chasing brands and end up something unsuitable...

wow...rrp is S$1649! thats a lot of dollars for a small camera...now my TZ220 seems like a bargain and Leica just re-packaged it as C-Lux which is also cheaper at S$1560...o_O
