Yeah, and seeing that you want a 18-200mm, i think getting a 50mm alone would be very restrictive for you.

I'd say go for the kit lens. The kit lens in the first place, is more versatile than the 50mm f1.8 II. And besides, if you wanna get the 50mm later on, its not that expensive. And you gotta think about the time when you are saving for the 18-200. What are you gonna do with just a 50mm...
