18-105 is fast enough on your D7k IMHO ;p using single point AF mode will help the AF a little faster in low light.. by the way, image sharpness also depends on many factors.. including your level of "acceptability" 18-105 is known to be a decent sharp lens.. wish you enjoy your shooting :)

nope. my 50mm f1.4G (same lens type as yours) may not need -9 AF fine tuning on your D7000 (or) your 50mm f1.4G may not need fine tuning on my D300s body there can be variations of focus offsets of a single lens on different bodies :)

hi all, my fren just got his 40D and he's wondering why he can't use the shutter speed he wants in Tv mode.. even he set the shutter speed at 1/125 (and f3.5 ISO200), the camera refused and exposed for 1/15 f3.5 ISO200.. the f3.5 was blinking when set at 1/125.. is it normal that the camera...

thank you all for your kind support :) i;ve found the flash options by pressing the flash button second time (after popping up the flash by first press).. it's also good to know that e520 can highspeed sync with an external flash.. i wonder if e520 works with 3rd party flashes? i mean more...

oh.. well; thanks. frankly, i haven't got the manual yet.. the camera was given to me to test.. if i'm satisfied with it, then i can settle the payment :) i'll surf the manual and search for the fill flash option.. will come back if i still needed support from you guys.. thanks again :)

Hi from noob to Oly DSLR :) I'm wondering how I can use fill flash when shooting in bright outdoors.. I was using P mode on my new E520 which I had got from a fren.. Exposure set by camera was 1/320 f6.3 I guess.. When I popped up the built in flash and shoot, the flash did not fire...

this lens is a sharp lens.. worth the price I paid for it :heart:

front lower switch is focus selector switch (AF-C, AF-S, MF).. Matrix, Center, Spots are metering modes.. for D700, the selector is located near the right side of the view finder.. i'm afraid i was not discussing correctly about the "circle" you mentioned.. i was talking about the green AF...
