    Sunny f/16 and f/22 Rule

technically, you are right. however, the sunny 16 rule is to make guessing exposures much simpler by only allowing the aperture to be the only variable. :) for the TS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunny_16_rule hope this helps! :)

    Silica Gel Question

I heat them up using an old, unused pan in a well-ventilated kitchen. After a few cycles of heating it up and reusing it, the pink indicator might wear off and become a very faint pink or sometimes transparent. However, when you heat it up again, It will turn back to the dark blue colour as in...

cost of developing & scanning 120mm color film?

well, that's true, but what you can do is that you tell him to develop only, later on then you decide which ones you wanna print. although when you cross-process its quite difficult to view... but oh well, my gf prints from her holga all the time... each roll is about $9 with processing only ma :)

    4-base/16-base scan for slide/negative

i think fuji frontiers are not made for good scans. i've had pretty bad experiences scanning slides (colour very very lousy, almost washed out) and negs (turns out very very noisy). instead, try kex. he's a user in this forum.

    Negatives not properly dried

how are the stains? purplish or just dried colourless blotches here and there? if they're the latter, then just soak them in water for 20-30 mins or longer if required, then proceed to hang-dry them with or without photoflo. :)

What is a good travel lens?

renting's not a bad option to consider.. i would think a 19-35mm, and a 28-105mm would be enough if you're on FF or film. Forget about the primes. too ley chey.
