If you do not do anything wrong, what FEAR do you have. Only those who break the law fear staying in the Singapore. We would not allow people abuse the authority of the Police and if the police does otherwise, they will be dealt with.
But SG should not don't gloat at HK's current Sep 2019 troubles. Eventually China will sort out HK's 2019 violent riot problems. The mob inciters/foreign powers' subversive agents will be rooted out. HK violent rioters will have rehabilitation/re-education jail time to adjust them to behave in a civilised society upon their release. Looking at the long term - a renewed & revitalised HK is in far more advantageous circumstances than Singapore. Just think of Singapore's water issues after 2061. That is an existential issue. And that is only 1 out of many problems Singapore has to face. When Prabowo becomes the next president of Indonesia and a new UMNO Version 2 + PAS gets elected into power in Malaysia GE15; Singapore has to face a sensitive and potentially dangerous situation. In all these aspects, HK is far more fortunate than Singapore.
They are killing HK themselves. HK belongs China. HK has 7 million vs 1.4 billion.

Singaporean are more disciplined and rationale.

Saturday 28 Sep 2019 & Sunday 29 Sep 2019 is the weekend before 1 Oct 2019 China National Day. Presumably the riots in Hong Kong these 2 days may be extreme to provoke a reaction. Not sure if after 1 Oct 2019, Beijing will deal with the violent riots. Or wait until after 11 January 2020 Taiwan election.
