[Scintillation]

Starting off this thread with my memories from our epic road trip adventure in New Zealand! Joined by my friends Nitewalk and Wolfics, we took off for a two-week-long getaway in Middle Earth in search of dramatic light and landscapes. Though the weather wasn't the most optimal at times, and we had to wake up at ungodly hours for sunrise, it was still a blast!

We made our way back to this location after a night of star trail photography. Sunrise was around 5.30am, and we had very little sleep. Glad we managed to wake up for the shot, as in the morning there aren't as much tourists and photographers as compared to sunset and nighttime. Initially was kinda disappointed by the featureless sky, but I think it has grown on me as I processed the photo. Really loving the directional morning golden light here.

Church of the Good Shepherd on a very clear night. Was fortunate to have shot this scene before the fences were erected. There's now a really large perimeter around the church so it will be tough to obtain similar shots in the future.
This is a stacked multiple exposure shot.

From this angle the scene wasn't facing sunset, however the water calmed down enough for a nice long exposure reflection to be captured.

We reached this location when the sun was already up, but thankfully the golden hour in New Zealand lasts for quite a while. Also, the water was still as well, at least from the part where we shot from.
One of the rare times we got still waters during our trip.

Scouted this location ahead of sunset with a friend, before we drove down for the actual sunset! Glad we did, as we got a pretty unique angle over here as well.

During our stay at Aoraki Mount Cook National Park it was very rainy, so we decided to head out to Peter's Lookout for some light trails.
Gotta thank Nitewalk for driving up and down for our long exposure!

The boardwalk through the valley towards Hooker Lake, with Mount Cook in the background. The winds here are very strong since the valley forms a natural wind tunnel.
My Nikon D850 with the 14-24mm lens and filter kit took a tumble off the platform even though the rig was placed on up of a sturdy Really Right Stuff TVC-33 tripod. Fortunately, it landed on soft grass, so nothing was damaged.

We were actually leaving Milford Sound when the skies suddenly cleared, so we headed back to shoot the intertidal coast.
Really fortunate that we went back, for the light that afternoon was mainly flat due to overcast skies without definition.
