I asked my buddy from Bangladesh if he had ever been to SG today. He said yeah 5 times...very clean...very nice...they'll beat your @ss! LOL

Good Morning Jeff! THere is @ss whopping everywhere in the world... ;)

Spare the rod spoil the child sir... :)

I asked him if he would ever go back...he said absolutely.

Singapore is in fact cleaner than many western countries. :)

SG is clean because it have an army of cleaners :bsmilie:

Japan is cleaner because they are more civil minded :bsmilie:

I can believe that. Westerners tend to think they are superior to the rest of the world and each other. I am one who knows better. :)

The Japanese are just weird and frankly I have seen many photos of places there that look not so tidy. Not to mention places that are radioactive.

Yes. I fully agreed.

When can we become more civil minded????

I was in one of the primary schools.

"Don't litter and you don't have to pick it up"

That's what is lacking here - Civic minded society 公德心

Michael Jackson once sang...

"I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change"

So... are you part the the solution.... or part of the problem....

Japan experience 19 dead by cold steel...not so different from 15 dead by lead? That my bros is a heavy debate!

I think it's a cultural thing.

Singapore is clean because no one throws rubbish.

Japan is clean because they have eatable food wrappers. :bsmilie:

The Japan case seems more isolated and based on an individual's action.

The US cases are like accidents waiting to happen again and again as people are equipped with guns that can do more damage.

Both are actually isolated... just that if you are mentally unsound... alot easier to commit mass shooting than mass knifing... and if the victims of the current case in Japan isn't themselves mentally disable and elderly... don't think there would be so many death.

Having easy access to guns and ammos does make any kind of mass death more likely...

I would rather live in Singapore than Japan any day of the week.

I make unique custom furniture for your HDB flat for consumer price...even employee SG people... :)

My buddy owns business all over the world and by my house too! He told me one time when he went it is because his sister was married there. That time was fun. He tells me CCTV watching you all the time...mess up and police come and beat you. LOL
