And the gas mask is just a show, an attempt to dramatize.

He has no clue as to what he's doing. The problem is irradiation; not gas. Instead of wearing protective clothing, he only wearing shots and slippers! And the particles stuck to his clothing will disseminate wherever he goes, exposing others to the hazard. Bad luck to those that came in proximity after what he did. Like SAR outbreak.
And I'm sure he took some of the "more valuable" items with him when he left the place as "souvenirs".

The Japanese and Malaysian authorities should be informed on his transgression.
