Oversea car rental

I am planning for a east west Australia trip. So, I need to drive from Brisbane to Perth. Check a lot of car rental company, mostly don't allows you to go off road but unsealed still ok for some. On top of that, what I hate is the one time drop off charges, about or more than the price of the car. I drove the car to another location and still got charge!? What if another person do from Perth to Brisbane, he will be charge too!

Now I got to drive a big circle and back to Brisbane, visit perth next time. Really, if I setup a car rental company, I will think of solutions to reduce that drop off fees. Maybe reward those who helps me brought the car from another area.

I found a 4wd but it's for 3 or more person. If their 2 person caravan price is ok, I might go for it and forget about booking hotel. Really a wild trip, ha ha!

I think this is required.
I heard glass break, then I saw a car with broken windows having its contents being transferred to another car.
Later when the car occupants came back, I heard them call the police - it was a hire car, it sounded like they were from Singapore or Malaysia, had their belongings taken including laptop and passports.

I take pictures of all surfaces and interior of car while it is on rental car lot when I rent one. Looking specifically for little scratches dings and dents etc. Embarrasses wife and children...lol
