Please help me seniors.

When i use Flash Gun, Focus becomes off target. I noticed the focus is not right at the point i focused, but noticed behind the object. I am puzzling why and never come across such experience or knowledge. Mine is EOS 500D with SIGMA 17-50 f2.8 lens. Flash is Shanny SN600C.

I am totally clueless now, how can flash defocus the photo. Without flash, its right on target.
Is it because ASP-C doesn't synchronize with external flash focus? I noticed when i turn camera zoom, flash also auto zoom to the same number, so i am wondering ASP-C have different focal length from lens, could that be the reason?? but that also should be light compensation, should not be focus, right??

Thanks a million.

1) If you are using AI focus AF, change it to one shot AF mode.

2) Place the focus point on your subject.

3) Switch off the AF focus assist lamp on your flash. The focus assist lamp can be disabled in the flash set up menu.

4)Then shoot again & see if the problem is removed.

Thank you so much. Let me try that method.
