asking: the price range for freelancer as a wedding photographer (main / 2nd guy)

Hi,


im just start to thinking about make my photography a serious photo service for the wedding.

but i dont know about the price range / fee for the freelancer photographer in singapore nowaday.. (just a noobie)

maybe as a 2nd or as main photographer in a bridal shop / directly to the client to be.


maybe somebody could help me to tell the price range (just approximately) around how much per service,

or maybe its depend on service time? like 15 hours, or 6 hours / 3 hours?

i dont know thats why i need help...

there is no point copy a figure from someone else, just like copy the answers from a guy sit beside you during an exam, you don't know whether his answers are correct or not?
and you suppose to come out the figure on your own, at lease you know even you won't make it or accepting the jobs/offers, but you didn't lose much money and wasting time.

After you read that, ask yourself again,
Are you ready for that?

I started doing free lance work recently and pricing is always a challenge. I have a full-time job so this is a side income for me.

When people approach me for assignment, i always ask myself - is the revenue worth the extra time and effort if i accept this assignment at XXX dollars and sacrificing my weekend? This is from a freelance photographer point of view and not from a Pro.

This quoted price must be a price that you think it's well worth the quality of photo that you can produce. Therefore knowing your own strength and weakness is very very important. Only accept assignments that you are confident. Charge a good amount of fee and be kind to yourself if you know that such shoot is your forte.

There is no fix price to begin with. A free-lance photographer charges from $12 to > $120 per hour (mostly for events). Moreover, some assignments are not exactly charged by hours. For example, food photography is charged by the number of shots and angles.

At the end of the day, most importantly is i don't want to feel like **** and underpaid but instead getting a desirable income that is well-worth my time, and also delivering the quality of what the client wants.

Do your part to keep the forums tidy. Posting in old threads, or "necrobumping" is generally discouraged in the technical issue subforums, since it can potentially create disjointed "zombie" information; outdated posts with data which is no longer relevant due to Arch's rolling nature, combined with more recent posts reflecting more current circumstance. Furthermore, technical support threads should remain succinct, and multiple pages are to be avoided if possible.
