Moral of the Story: look at yourself first before condemning others.

i wonder if this person is in ClubSNAP

He rejected shooting you? :bsmilie:

It is the same person.

If you compared the 2 photos, one was taken in 2009 while the other was in 2014. This shows that his photography skill has improved over time.

Zeckson posts regularly in P&P.

He came to our notice many years ago and his consistent output is impressive. He must have spent quite a bit of energy and time to keep up his prolific production. He obviously enjoys what he is doing.

I find him very helpful. Once I PM him about how he has achieved such smooth skintones on his models. I expected a brief answer but he gave me a long and detailed explanation of it.

Enthusiasm for photography is something not easy to maintain over the years. But Zec keeps his enthusiasm burning. Zec may post a bit too many photos in a shoot in P&P but we don't have the heart to tell him so. Rather we want to be infused with his enthusiasm.

Thank you Zec. Keep on shooting and keep on letting the light burning.

NSFW? Time for my favourite gif.
Thanks to whoever created/uploaded it.

Zeckson has improve a lot over the years.

do not laugh at people of what the produce when they just started,
at least people who are willing to put it efforts to do what they love to do, we should show some respects.

ask yourself, how many people you have seen and gone? or still hentak kaki?

if you can shoot better than him, well good for you, but you won't know will he better than you somewhere down the road. by than, we won't know who is laughing at who in the end.

anyway, not all photographers are the same, so are the models, so his comments could be directing to certain "models".

When he first posted in CS years back, he got slammed badly. Now that his pic surpassed those slammers, he can laugh at them in the face lah. And sometimes models can be irritating and overestimate themselves, esp in SG.That's all I can say.

well said.

I dont think theres a point.

Theres a negative herd mentality in there that seems to have gotten out of control. They posted pictures of Zecksons older works and slam him, which is within their right to do so but is pretty unfair. And the other users have ran away with it and took the whole discussion to another level.

Not that I fully agree with what Zeckson said in his post, esp without further explanation or the context. That had the potential to be very misleading and it has unfortunately turned out this way.

Well, I'm just going to put in the thought that what someone posts openly on Facebook and gets slammed for has little to do with his photography work. So for example, if I write a long essay about how horrible and ugly Singapore is, and how it's full of nothing but buildings and cats, and I have gorgeous award winning works of other countries in the world and often help others in my free time, does it mean that I'm absolved for the essay, by virtue or merit of the good works I've produced?

Granted, it could be out of frustration, but this is the trend nowadays, the moral of the story is really to be careful of what you post openly online, be it on forums or social media. Things tend to run amok and out of hand in a much shorter span of time.

Anyways, I haven't been in P&P for a while..

thats quite unlike Zec to outburst like that .....

Good to work with pretty things but as a job, the point is to bring out the best in your subject, no matter what shape, size, skintone , flaws they come in/with etc etc...... cant always choose how our clients look like

But if you're paying for a model shoot, you're the one in control and the one with expectations of the model

------

anyway back to the flaming he's getting in EDMW .... I can understand the urge to respond but

1. that post was from May and they bring it up now?
2. reading the comments, most of the posters seem to be posting out of 'righteousness' and not likely to be hobbyists or pros

They are trolling, baiting and slamming Zec to trigger a response or meltdown from him..... I WOULD NOT respond ..... the next scandal or hot topic that make their blood boil or emotions high, they will abandon and focus on something else altogether

Fortunately or unfortunaely , he is filler materials in between hot topics

Hang in there Zec !!! You respond in EDMW .... they JUST waiting for you to respond..... DONT......

Zec is a good photographer, and my suspicion is that some "models" managed to irk him sufficiently for him to post that. I don't know what EDMW hopes to achieve from this, but I really won't bother with them. Zec has my support!
