I was using my friend D800 with Sigma 70-200F/2.8 lens plus a Nikkor 2x conventer in a indoor event. But somehow i could not function on AF.May anyone point out what goes wrong.
Thanks

For Sigma zooms like 70-200/2.8 or 150-300/2.8, you should be using Sigma 2x teleconverter.

Which means if I were to use Nikon or kendo it sure can't be on AF mode?

Nikon TC does not play well with non Nikon lenses. there are folks out there who modify their tc to make tgem work but it is a risk only you can decide to take.

Kenko TC I had one. It worked on a nikon 80-200 but never tried with a sigma lens. Heard that it should work. But IQ is better and af faster with a sigma tc.
