1. In what area is critique to be sought?
Composition.

2. What one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
Wanted to soak in the atmosphere and capture what I absorbed and felt about Osaka and the people living there in general without being too obstrusive and in your face.

3. Under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
If I remember correctly, this was shot at about 4:45pm ish, right before the crunch busy period.

This was shot with my compact 35mm auto Panasonic film camera with Portra 160 loaded.

4. What the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
I think I captured what I absorbed from Osaka in this 1 photo. I liked how the sun fell on the ground and how I captured different groups of people I noticed during my travel in Osaka congregating in this floor space.

I like the lighting, and the composition, in fact, this is one of the best photo I see so far in critic corner.
best of all, it is shot with a film compact camera, showing that the eyes of photographer is more important any fancy gears.

Oh wow, thank you so much for the really kind comments, catchlights! This is the only camera that I own and I really love it. It just spoke to me when I was browsing this shop that sells old electronics and stuff.

My favourite part of the photo is that the station officer and the man at the bottom of the photo did not stand at the center of the cross. I like where they stand slightly disturbs the framing. If they were standing at the center, I really think that it will totally change the feel of the photo.

I think if you waited till everyone was either completely inside or outside the white rectangle, it may have made a more powerful visual statement.

Ahh, noted! But it's not really the statement I would've wanted to relay.

i like the colours and the sense of scale (which normally works with just one person, or alot of people)
i would say instead that if the centre was much more crowded, it might have related your message slightly better
