M thinking of getting a imac to do processing will the core i5, 16gb memory, 1 tb serial ata drive and GeForce gtx 775m 2gb gddrs and drobo 5n as storage be good enough? Btw m never a Apple user b4. Thanks.
Why are you choosing an Apple? Is there a specific reason? If you are unfamiliar with Apple then a new system will only add to the learning curve. Lightroom is the same on both systems.
IMHO, if you already have a desktop / notebook that you feel is powerful enough, probably better to just buy a monitor that's designed to be colour accurate, and calibrate itI always have the impression that the color are richer and suit processing of photograph better.

Thank you all. Will get the Imac with cord i5 (not wanting to order online) from one of the shop. Will be grateful if someone can recommend me where is the best place to make the purchase other then online. Thanks
Do you want to edit the real colours or being deceived by the rendering of the screen?I always have the impression that the color are richer and suit processing of photograph better.

What you describe is exactly what Apple wants to do: impress with cheap tricks. As a photographer you should worry about the real colours before you try to impress with overly saturated and otherwise twisted colours.
Do get a screen calibrator to make sure that the display shows what the data in the image describe. Otherwise all your work is for the bin.
Just answer a few questions for yourself:thank you Octarine that's the reason why I wrote in the forum hoping to get some advice before I make the purchase. If you don't mind pls give me a suggestion as to which system I should consider. Thanks
