Now you go watch a HK movie, the mandarin they speak is not the same. For example, 我们 has become 吒們。 knn has become 哇靠。

What other words have take on the CC form?

I think it's the same as English. At the beginning many put on a Queen English accent under the British colonial masters. English speakers in Hong Kong are still doing it.

Then came the glocal US power many adopted the American accent.:)

Was it dubbed? Quite sure their actors still do it in their mother tongue Cantonese.

Everyone is aligning towards China market so not surprising, especially with so many collaboration with mainland Chinese production houses.

Just trying to spot the vocabulary changes so can update oneself. Keep your ears open when going to the cinema this CNY. Forget about Channel 8 broadcast of outdated movies. I cannot believe they are showing 花田喜事2010. Not keeping up with times. You won't get to hear these language changes. We have to not 马上 but 立马 learn the mainland chinese way of speaking.

Not new, we are using 简体 for so long so we are kind of aligned to PRC std liao. As for Tawan and Hkg, only tume will tell if they are willing to forgo this.

Will watching the CCTV CNY be the new norm, I wonder.

I try to watch hk movies in cantonese whenever possible. Once in chinese, it's not longer having the same 'taste'

江苏and湖南will be throwing lots of money to entice the biggest names appear in their CNY shows. Celine Dion even appeared last year or the year before. I wonder who will appear this year. I read Andy Lau is among them.
