Think u can be surprised at some of the criticism leveled at the social sites :)

I've 2 FB friends who followed my posts / photos and made it an personal task / responsibility to criticize everything possible except related to the photos themselves. Needless to say, I just removed their rights to view my photos in the end when I realized they weren't making any constructive comments at all. (Eg: why your camera so lousy? =.= )

somehow to me clubsnap feels at least safer - minimally , people who criticize do know their stuff unlike the ones on social media where everyone believes himself/ herself is an expert.

I photoed one kavadi carrying event last year. It seemed watered down. There were too many restrictions on the devotees. Because some idiots complained got loud noise or block traffic. So very muted music accompaniment and they have to walk inside a metal barrier enclosed path on edge of road.

It is their religious special day. Why all these prohibitions?

I think the real thing is now to be found in Malaysia where the festival seems less bound by silly restrictions.

Wait till we have 6.9 million, they won't even have space to walk inside barrier.

Appreciate what is given today

The trick is to photograph them at the beginning and at the end points of procession where here are no restriction and not during the procession.

Print a big badge that says "International Photographer" and the security will leave you alone. And wear and behave like one. :bsmilie:

Be prepared to live in a modern Barrier City.

Be grateful that the barriers are there for your safety like the zoo.

You can exercise your voting rights to choose whether you want to be in the cage or walk in barrier. :)

What if the cage is much much bigger and not too mention that it is inflation free?
Sooner or later the line would become so blurred that it would be immaterial whether you stay in which side. LOL

Nowhere in the world is inflation free.

Thanks to the wisdom of the voters we have the lowest inflation rate among first world nations.
