Typical cynical Singaporean, foreign talents winning Olympic gold medals cannot. Locally born and bred young Singaporeans winning bronze medal in regional SEA Games as a team despite putting out their best effort and trying their best also not satisfied and die, die must open mouth to criticise. Their life must be so miserable that they just have to pull everyone else down along.

indeed sad to watch that match.
did you watch the match? i was hoping the team to beat the Thais. very skillful indeed but just can't penetrate the Thais. after so many years, still lag behind
last night watch the Final match, thais vs indon. they are really fast and skillful . did you watch the match?

think if they want to continue, they should bring the team to play against thai league or indo league. rather than playing the malaysia league.

in 2014, hope F a n d i A h m a d will lead the team..........

Singapore football had its golden era. And so did Malaysia which had an even better team.

MLY 1970s football team of Soh Chin Ann, Wong Choon Wah, Mokhtar Dahari, Arumugam (goalkeeper), Isa Bakar, Santokh Singh, James Wong, Hassan Sani, etc.... was top quality.

Hear hear! I suggest that we abandon all other sports and take part in the one event we seem to be extremely good at -- Armchair Criticism !

Someone pls come up with a format and send it to SSC, SOC or whoever's in charge of next SEA games. We host, we can introduce new event rite?

Sorry. SG also don't have such talent :(

However, SG have the highest paid political leaders :)

If they have this in SEA games or Olympics, we would should get medals :bsmilie:

give up the medals and use the money to feed some elderly folk..

famous quote "How much do you want? Do you want three meals in a hawker centre, food court or restaurant?"

I would say :)

:heart:Dr Lily Neo:heart::

Sir, I want to check with the Minister again when he said on the strict criteria on the entitlement for PA recipients.
May I ask him what is his definition of “subsistence living”?
Am I correct to say that, out of $260 per month for PA recipients, $100 goes to rental, power supply and S&C and leaving them with only $5 a day to live on?
Am I correct to say that any basic meal in any hawker centre is already $2.50 to $3.00 per meal? Therefore, is it too much to ask for just three meals a day as an entitlement for the PA recipients?

I nominate uncle dreaming to be at the very least, Vice-Chairman of the all stars AC team. :bsmilie:

Soccer bronze not bad wat!

If can draft more Singaporean of all races into the sport, the pool of talents will be much bigger. Then can start dreaming of gold. Else I am afraid we are rather limited with a small pool of players to choose from.

Vivian Balakrishnan subsequently publicly stated that what he said in 2007 was wrong.

He expressed regret over a comment he made in Parliament which he described as 'one statement which will haunt me for my entire political life'.

Everybody loves to win. However, in every game, there will be a winner and a looser, otherwise it would be boring right? To me, it is not so much as we loose but how we played. If our boys were chasing after every ball but technically weaker, I can understand and accept. When I see my team not putting in the effort and can't even play the ball properly, I am very sad.

Look at some of our neighbours. They have shown us what their hunger in their game. Our boys have been exposed to good money and think they are ELP player. Good to introduce more new blood so that they know someone else are ready to take over if they do not wish to be part of this.

The current pool of players are just too small. Look at our waterpolo team and learn from them.

this bronze is real and worth more than all our Olympic table tennis medals

be proud of it and encourage our local boys to better heights
