Good day all,

I'm pretty new to the photoprinting part and starting up on this not long ago.

I recently took up a task for a certain group of people who requested the group photos that I've taken for them to be printed and given as a souvenir for the events they've been partaking.

I'm in a dilemma of what size for the group photo souvenir should be used to make it a considerable memory for them in those activities.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

There is no fixed size. Ask the requestor what size they want.

"I leave it to your judgement"

Ouch.

Hmmm, ok I think I will try that, thanks!

People typically accept 4R, 5R, 6R, and S8R. Quote them differently for different sizes.

Group photo usually is in 8R and above sizes, if you sell 5R or 4R, not saying you can't, but people won't expect to pay much for a 5R or 4R photos.

Remember to ask delivery terms as well, to one location/every address, any event details overlay..

You sure not asking for instant printing hor?..lol

Yes 8R is norm, bt ask..

You cannot please everybody.

Since they say that, ask each individual to identify the photos that he or she wants printed. Then just print 4R.
But if they do not even want to bother to identify the photos they want printed, then you don't do anything. Ask them to do it themselves.

Why?
Because after you decide for them (as per their wish) some may grumble why this and why that, why you never do such & such, why you were trying to be too smart to print something they did not want, etc.....

Some may even suspect you made money doing this favour for them.

Harvey Norman has 4R at $0.20. Its even cheaper than 3R.

To start, i might do just that.

Sidetrack a bit. HN printing kinda sucks. As in, their printers may not be calibrated to even their own monitors. Or maybe it's just the particular branch (JP) I visited. The photos I printed had a bluish tint. And I once overheard a lady complaining to the staff that the background of her passport photo wasn't "white enough", despite appearing white on her camera and computer.

Yeah it's hit or miss. The one at Northpoint is OK.

Yeah done it with a 4R and the people are pleased!
Thanks all for the considerate comments and suggestions!
