Wonder if London road signs will be in English & Chinese soon.

The UK Chancellor of the Exchequer (Minister of Finance) and the Mayor of London are in China to market UK as a tourist destination and also to attract more PRC students to UK universities.
No wonder, UK is only slightly better than Mongolia in the list and is 2nd last in the table.

The UK was really foolish to impose visa requirements on the Chinese who are the biggest spenders. For years the Chinese have been spending their money in France, Italy Switzerland, and other EU countries. My uncle, a UK citizen, has been telling me this for years. Hopefully it is not too late for them.

Yes, UK finally sees the light. Does Singapore see the light too?

I thought we are already blinded by that light, or been transformed into dogs by it's brightness?

The Brits better brace themselves for hordes of, shouting, dashing, snatching, vandalizing, peeing, spitting, urinating and in some instances shitting in public, ....

I thought you were describing the chavs endemic to the native population. hahaha! more tea, old chap?

That's uncalled for.

LOL. yea

myopic much?

the brits themselves are also quite loud and brutish at times, and can also be seen doing what you've described.

Should watch Geordie shore. :D

er....no...

The PRC tourists who visit Britain would likely be rich and quite well behaved.

Don't categorise them with the less privileged PRC hordes who descend on Geylang or MBS/RWS casino in Singapore.

Actually the British hope the rich PRC will buy the stately homes in London and help boost the property market in UK.

There is one more dimension.

The UK wants approval for London to be a main offshore hub for trading in China's currency and bonds.

Who is London most afraid of? Not New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and of course Not Singapore.

London is afraid of .......Frankfurt.

UK is scared to death of Germany' Frankfurt taking over as finance hub of Europe and making London a hopeless has-been city.

I think the Brits are already perfectly capable of shouting, dashing, peeing, etc in public without PRC help.

Well said.

Those who always think that all PRC are so uncivilised are just making sweeping statement.

China is a rising economic super power. The rising middle income class is the force that the world is trying to capitalise on. Those who didn't see it will miss the boat. Luckily, Singapore has long seen the light long before the Brits.

That's not a sweeping statement, rather a narrow minded comment.
Ask around in the world and you will find all kinds of comments about tourists from Russia, UK, Germany, China and whatnot. Check in the region and you will see that Singaporeans have successfully achieved a certain reputation as well :)
