What other reason can make the car skid and flung to the opposite?

Sand from construction trunks can make a car Skid. So have good sport tyres also no use.
Strong Side wind can be a factor as well. It will push your car side way. I remember once when I drove along the bridge after tuas checkpoint, the sudden side wind is so strong that I have to slow down to keep to my original car lane.
Just another fool trying to impress with a performance car he has not had "performance driving" techniques in.

What car are you driving?
How high was your CG? Lotus Elise's height is 1.1 m nia. So the CG shd be about less than 0.5m above ground? Should be very stable with normal speed even during sharp turn, right?
Can flung out to the oncoming tracks? How strong does the side wind required to lift and flung a 750 kg+ object?

S = (7.7 x W / A) 0.5
This gives a rough idea of the wind speed required to lift a car into the air during the passage of a tornado. If the car weighs a tonne and has a side area of 5 m2, for instance, the wind needs to be at least 39 m/s, or 141 km/h. This corresponds with the maximum wind in a F1 tornado. Conversely, a 1000 kg car, with a frontal area of 3 m2, driving over 182 km/h (under calm conditions), could become airborne unless it is designed suitably.
