Hi Everyone.

The Singapore Rifle Association will be holding the above event this weekend

This is a rare opportunity for you to get to take pictures of an International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) event
Dynamic Shooting(Yes! real Guns) in Singapore.

Given the potential hazards and dangers in live firing, the association will allow up to a maximum of only 10 photographers each day from Clubsnap

Stevewhy will be there to advise you where you can station yourself or how to follow the shooter while he/her is on the move. I will likely be there for a bit as well

Venue: National Shooting Centre.
990. Old Choa Chu Kang Road. National Shooting Centre
990 old choa chu kang road national shooting centre - Google Maps

There are no buses going to the Range. You got to find your own transport there , or car-pool amongst yourselves.

14th Sun 2012. 8am to 5pm.
End of the event, we are having prize presentation and buffet, it will end around 7.30pm,
those who are keen to stay back, please let me know.

The Singapore Rifle Association is a strictly non-profit association and it would be very nice if you guys who are going there allow the Association to download and use some of your images for use on their website and FB page .

IF you want to set up a tripod and set-up at the receiving end (of bullets) of the range with a remote trigger facing the shooters, please get there early to set up
Its your own risk IF your camera/lens/tripod gets shot and destroyed by the shooters .... nobody will be responsible

this is very interesting.
may i know what do we expect to shoot?
are we allow to walk around and shoot or station at a fixed place?

you can walk around and shoot behind the shooters ..... NEVER IN FRONT IN THE RANGE LANE

IF you want one of those dramatic INTO THE LENS image of a shooter pointing his gun directly into the lens.... SURE >>> SET UP A TRIPOD WITH REMOTE OR TIMED RELEASE .... it is ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN for a shooter to point a gun directly at another human being (even if the gun is unloaded and empty)

Bring your macro lens and portable light tents if you want to do close ups

I did read up too. There is a bus 405 but it only operates on weekdays so you cant use that. not too sure about 172 though
