What are Mr Ng's chances?

German will win. They always bend the rules to favour the German because of Germany's economic clout.

Remember this?

The German fencer clearly lost. This is not a guess. It is documented on video for millions to see. But committee ruled in her favour.

So likewise, it will be a dirty campaign by the German against NSM.

Nope, the Singaporean will win because he knows all the bookies and rigs all the events. Everyone knows he will bend all the rules in his favor because he will want to make sure he can win big. Everyone knows Singapore is filled with match-fixers.

See? It sucks when your racist paranoia is turned on yourself, isn't it? I suggest you seek mental health assistance, your paranoia and xenophobia is getting extreme and you do little but spam the forum with your nonsensical, unfounded, pathetic conspiracy theories all day.

Your point being? That the German fencer was involved in match fixing? That the Germans always play dirty?

At least Mr Ng is trying.

At least Mr Ng is trying.

Instead of just being a keyboard warrior and complaining about government, grandfather, grandmother, uncle aunt father mother any issue also government fault?

what are his chances?

I don't give a dxxx

Sebastian Coe is more qualified. The only man to win the Olympics 1,500m gold medal twice successively. But he is not running for IOC president.

Thomas Bach was an Olympic gold medal winner (fencing).

Sergei Bubka was an Olympic gold medal winner and broke the world record for men's pole vaulting 35 times. He is a living legend.

NSM was never good enough to even take part in any Olympics event (sailing). Let alone win a bronze medal. Never mind the gold medal.

Germany as a nation is in ascendancy in 2013. It is now the big brother of the EU. Germany wants to call the shots.
A long time ago, Hitler also wanted to use the Berlin Olympics to bring glory to Germany. But Jesse Owens deflated his balloon.
So this time in 2013, all the resources, power and economic clout of Germany will be fully behind Thomas Bach. The country wants a German to be IOC president.

As a country, Germany does get away with outrageous acts in sports. Maybe because the people who make sport decisions know Germany, with its great economic power, is in a position to reward them if it wants to, indirectly much later.

For example, this:

The Olympics is not about the EU(or Germany for the matter), in case you didn't know.....

I wonder if you would fall flat on your nose off that soap box if no German was in the running......

Are you serious? I have been watching football since... and its full of "injustices" etc.. Hand of God? What does politics etc got to do with referring mistakes done on the spur on the moment?

Athelletic prowess and achievements on the track is differrent from management, diplomatic and strategy skills which is what is required of an IOC president

Demetrius Vikelas
Godefroy de Blonay
Henri de Baillet-Latour
Sigfrid Edström
Avery Brundage
Michael Morris
Juan Antonio Samaranch
Jacques Rogge

Name me ONE famous international household name sportsman from above .... and they're ALL former presidents of the IOC

Sergei Bubka.... dont know him personally but I grew up in his era of pole vaulting dominance .... my public opinion of him is that of a mercenary scoundrel ....

Look at the number of times he 're-wrote' the world pole vault record ..... 1cm at a time.

Event organizer got no US$1million 'prize' ? No world record . Got US$1million (or more) prize? He will give the event a world record .... you want someone like that to be president of IOC ? Someone who shames the Olympic principles by not trying one's best like those badminton players during the london olympics?

We are a great little red dot because we dare .... and we do not automatically cower to the Ang Moh in submission

So win or lose the bid.... at least support our candidate lah. He has very good credentials ... he put Singapore Sailing on the world map and he is an excellent strategist with global foresight..... so what if his 'only' sporting achievement as an athelete is a measly SEA Games silver medal in Sailing .... in 1969 ?

On paper he is VERY qualified .... but we all know behind the scene politics is a strange game

Prove your allegations or STFU. Your constant xenophobic rants just show how full of $#!t and borderline psychotic you are. Slowly but surely all your paranoid hate mongering will be sure to catch the eyes of someone who will charge you with disrupting racial harmony. And it will be well deserved.

Judging from Uncle Ricohflex's FUD propagating characteristic through his primary posting pattern and style filled with conspiracy theories, he is just cynical. A little too extreme to label him a racist xenophobic just because of his aforementioned particular nature.

Except that his cynical nature extends to anything that is "us vs. them" and thus is paranoia already.

Dr.Wu Ching-Kuo of Taiwan has announced his intention to run for IOC president. One more contender. Also not an Olympics medal winner. An architect by training. Presently International Boxing Federation (AIBA) President.

If Y! news are your 'source' of information there is little left to say .. Wonder what you will bring up against a person from Taiwan, though. It could be entertaining, but I'm afraid it will be the same shallow and nearly dangerous nonsense as postd already above.

Didn't they just remove wrestling from the list of Olympic disciplines..?
I'd prefer a snow boarder as IOC boss, at least these guys are out in fresh air for half of the year :)
