i today held the door for 2 family with kids for them to enter as i open the door first, they just come in without saying thank you..... then my child enter after them... i purposely says to my child, why never say thank you for people holding the door for you?

the other parents was act blur....

not asking for thank you or what, just that it will be good for you to show courtesy to people in front of your child, your child learns....

i always says thank you to cleaners cleaning my table before and after food, my children's learns from there and now they also follows.

I do hold the door open for others sometimes. But I never expect to hear them say thank you. Some do. Some don't.
If they don't, it is not a big deal to me. It is merely a very small favour.

But this news story takes the cake. Some one sacrificed his life to save a family of 3 and they were utterly ungrateful.
