heheheheh didn't know Rodinal got a revival in CS ....
I can bring back Rodinal from Germany ..... but next time will be several months later..
Will open up an MO then....

Just for the first timers, Rodinal can be used several times...... do not dunk it after 1 use!!!!!!!

I didn't know that you could use it again. When you talk about reusing, it's on the spot reuse for another roll right? What kind of concentration and amount are we looking at?
Yep u can re-use...doesn't have to be on the spot...store it in a glass bottle, aluminum wrapped and in 4oC.....
Concentration remains the same, but extend your time for developing if need be.
Do not use it on super impt negs........
Use them on the negs that are designated experimental...
Experiment with diff temps and diff developing timings and agitations....a lot of the times there are surprises ........
This also does not only apply to Rodinal.....other developers are suitable too cept a couple ....
I saw that online, that is why I was confused. I had not previously known of an expiry date either. I assume the expiry is only for R09 which is what you guys got from Macodirect? If so, what kind of expiries did you get?rodinal got expiry dates?

sorrie for digging this up again after so many months... but does anyone have any idea how to bring rodinal in? i wanted to try freestyle photo... but they don't ship overseas and no PO box (which excludes comgateway). then i saw this on macodirect:

The last round I tagged along someone here in a Mass Order, what we got is the R09. But i have never used the old rodinal before so I cannot compare. I still have quite a bit left after more than one year.
The other thing is that the plastic bottle it came in is quite low quality. It started to leak after one or 2 months and I have to transfer the whole bottle to another plastic container.

Mine's the old Rodinal fm an old MO here. But it's running out soon... Haiz... Is R09 formula the same?
From what i read, it should be the same. Hv you consider other developer readily available from Ruby Photos?
hahaha... considering that i only develop photos every public holiday and school holiday, i need my developer to have a long shelf life! :bsmilie:
besides... old farts like me, i gotten used to Rodinal liao... lazy to change. ;p
Haha but can give hc110 a try..once one bottle last me for 2 years and still ok for me. Shorter developing time when using dilution b.
