just wondering whether it's possible to organise one? I am sure many of us here have photography equipment to sell. I for one, am looking to sell of my DSLR stuff as i have switched back to film. Hence, was thinking instead of the normal B&S route, we could have a clubsnap organised event at say, national stadium carpark? Can sell stuff, share tips, lim kopi etc..make it a fun day. :) i dun mind being part of the organising crew.

What do you guys (and cats) think?

I think thats a great idea Manalishi :) will feedback to the other mods and admin about this

meow! I'll bring the fleas to your flea market.

I'll bring the fast and furious crew. That's a lot of cars full of gear!

i am pretty sure an enterprising fella will start to organise a "exotic lingerie shoot at Kallang Car park E, with scantily clad models posing with cars full of hard-ware"....soon.

I think many people would have stuff to unload.

in fact it would be good to trade stuff or even give away stuff for free e.g. Photomagazines, photobooks, accessories, cheap tripods, old filters, old dslrs, expired film, disposable cameras, bags, photography-related toys, etc.

super idea. I got a lot of inexpensive filters which I would like to offload for a low price.
Where got carpark that can easily access and free parking ? (maybe must conduct on Sundays?)

(we must also make sure it is not the carpark used by the Sympathetic Men's Club)...

Low price is a good idea. Free is not a good idea as people may anyhow grab even if they don't need it. Maybe we can donate stuff to CS and CS sells them for a low nominal price as a service to members.

I understand that permit is needed from URA for a car park event

Anyone can confirm this and/or provide directions how to get a permit?

Car Park or shopping mall or even at the beach, can we have an indication of who will commit to spending a few hours on a saturday to bring stuff down for sale/trade?

Dont want CS to put it all together and then CS'ers fly aeroplane

Def need live photo shoot sessions... the organisers can do it on donations.... some Bikini Events girls please. ;)

product demos from the stores.... or brands present.

Add in a Raffle for a D4 also.... ;)

how about we make it a chargeable event? experience shows that if the thing is free, many will sign up but will fail to turn up on actual day. We can charge a reasonable amount like $40 per table/booth/carpark lot to sell. This way, we can ensure minimal drop out and control the size. Otherwise, skali 6.9 mil wanna turn up and sell stuff..lol.

if there's enough sponsors, we can explore holding it at say, EMily Hill? Got a good sized carpark, indoor space for shoots, talks etc.
