Wanted to buy 2 pair of jeans but nowadays, torn jeans are more expensive than jeans that do not have holes in them. I am not looking for those without holes, shredded, stone washed, sand blasted, low back, butt crack revealing, loose and baggy ones. Where to find a regular classic smart jeans good enough for weekend office wear? Can bro recommend a few brands?

buy from salvation army.

they have a lot
some are branded even $25.

i am not ashamed to say i own a 2nd hand Esprit (great fit), and several clean, almost new, and comfortable $5 jeans too. I wear them to meet my clients, too. :D

Levis, GAP, and Denizen have some classic straight leg models, I believe.

ok lah. Not too cheap. Midrange. At least cannot be looked down by subordinates. :)

Well.. you can go Taka, Isetan, Metro, BHG.. so many to choose from. :)

Go to city square (serangoon) b2. Dockers pants, jeans, shirts (clearance sale) gg @89 for any 3 pieces. Got mine thr

How about gap or h&m

Uniqlo
I like their stuff
No frills and affordable, free alteration for most pants

As an aside I am unfortunately hovering at the upper limits of Japanese sizes
Disappointed a few times now. They can't all be so small right? :(

If you are 'naturally' big eg built like the Hulk, maybe cannot fit.

but for people built like the Bulk, maybe can exercise a bit and eat less zichar.

Second this suggestion. I don't know if it's "good" because everyone's standard varies. But for someone who doesn't know much about clothing it's fine and the price is decent.

Batam used to have fake Levis complete with laser hologram to bluff that they are original.

Peninsula at B1 sells cheap jeans from $20 onwards.

Levi's actually has the trade your old jeans for $50 off a new one, simply bring an old pair down and change for a new one.

Nicer jeans like cheap Monday, April 77 and nudie can be found at denim shop in mandarin gallery. Hope this helps! :)

Levi's.
April77.
APC.
Nudie.

All got decent fitting. If you want something that doesn't have a design on the back pocket go for April77 and APC.

Levi's is on sale now, I think.
