Hi everyone. I have this problem that I can't find answers to (or probably got the wrong answer) online. I hope some of you can help me out here.

I am actually looking for a drop in CPL for Cokin Z Pro filter holder (as seen this video @ 2:30). However, I do not know whether my 77mm screw on filter can actually fit in. I read online somewhere saying only a 105mm screw-in filter can be 'dropped in' to filter holders, is this true?

If I were to get one, do I have to make sure I get those 'slim' filters?

The only "drop-in" CPL you can use for the Z-pro, are the ones made by Cokin themselves specifically for this purpose. If you were using the P holder, you can still find copies from Tianya, or ones from Singh-Ray. But for Z-pro size, I think there are none but Cokin's. It looks like this but larger. No other CPLs will fit.

+1.

Cokin CPL has a thin extended edge to slot into and hold in place. You cannot use screw on filters no matter how slim.

Thanks alot guys. It's a freaking expensive piece of glass... Known as the Cokin Z164. Sigh.

Wait till you see the price tag on the Lee Fitler's holder's CPL. You ain't seen nothing yet.

There is a new filter holder designed and made in China that gives a good work around for this problem. It allows you to fit a standard CPL together with the holder, and it will hold all 100mm wide filters. The problem is, it is not available in Singapore. I custom ordered it in China and a friend brought it back for me. Do a search for it. It is called ProGrey G-100. If I have time I will do a review on it.

Here is a quick photo of the contraption shot with my HP.
