Using flash among 4 photographers?

If I have three other photographers shooting beside me at the same time at a model outdoor all using fill flash at 1/100 of a sec, would the flashes from other photographers interfere with my shots?

Anything else I should be aware of shooting a model in a small group of photographers?

It will be affected only when two or more photographers fire shutter at the same time.
In short, very slim chance unless everyone is firing a GPMG.

maybe not. new cameras/flash technology all got preflash for TTL. they might end up compensating for it together :bsmilie:

I can't work with TTL. I always stick to manual.

Shout "my turn" before pressing button.

Otherwise, will become gang-flashing. (whatever that means) :bsmilie:

The 2nd,3rd and 4th photographers will have a higher chances to get a photo of the subject with eyes close :bsmilie:

Fire from your camera is fine, so long nobody shoot off camera flash set up with slave mode.

Every week so many model photoshoots everybody has been doing that, some time 10 photographers shoot one model like firing squard, did you see people got kpkb or not?

Anyway, I guess you are shooting for stocks, the norm is one photographer shoot at one time, nobody is allow to shoot over the photographer shoulder.
Do you think four photographers shooting at the same time for one hour will get more and better usable shots than 15mins undistrubed shooting?
GWC only care to fill up their harddisc as fast as possible.
For us, we are only interested to get a few money shots.

If the other 3 use the annoying anti-red eye series of rapid preflash, then your subject will look irritated in the photo.

Get a set of quadruplets as models will solve your problem ;p

We are just a bunch of amateurs learning to shoot models on the cheap by sharing the modelling costs. We don't go through photoshoot organizers as we source the models ourselves. I think taking turn shooting one by one is a good idea as different photographer has his own way of shooting. Some may prefer using reflectors.

if one photographer is shooting at one time, the rest can help in assisting and observe for background or messy wardrobe, or even observe how the photographer is shooting, each of them will learn even better, and maybe you can get inspire for some ideals by observe the model or the rest of photographers.

personally I find the firing squad way of shooting is waste of time, hardly get any usable shots.
