I am considering going to Windows 8. I am wondering if there is a touchscreen version to say the Dell U27 monitor. Any recommendation?

The "table pc" Lenovo showed off at CES. ;-)

But most are still TN panels I believe.

You don't need a touch screen to work with Win8. But honestly, what does Win8 provide for daily (office related or similar) work that Win7 does not?

Of course you don't. But it is the touchscreen interface that is the main sell factor for Win 8.

Imagine doing Photoshop with this instead of a mouse or Bamboo.

What a nightmare. I can imagine the lack of accuracy and arm fatigue

In reverse: if I don't want / need to touch my screen then the whole Win 8 story is pointless. Maybe some geeks get touchy and excited about it, the corporate customers will not follow this trend of groping and fondling office equipment :)

Used to have a Wacom Cintiq but sold it to a friend since I don't find myself doing much Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) nowadays.

I doubt any other touchscreen PC can replicate the intuitive and feel of the Wacom Cintiq and even with just a Wacom Bamboo, I'll use it over other any touchscreen monitors.

Actually... the geeks are the one who are complaining about windows 8... and the marketing folks are the ones that liking it.

I'm a geek and proud of it
