Hi all, somehow i always need to up most of my photos' brightness when viewing (using MS photo editor) from either +5 or + 10.. when previewing on camera is fine.. is there something wrong with my camera settings? (Lazy)Newbie here.. I usually shoot in auto mode *shy*

computer monitor and camera monitor won't be showing the same results, this is for sure.

and is your computer monitor calibrated?

if it is not, any correction done on the images will only look good on your computer monitor,

to judge an images correct exposure is by reading the histogram for non-calibrated monitor, reading the histogram of your camera should able to let you know is your exposure correct or not.

Spend some time reading through the basics of post processing. First thing: calibrate your monitor, second thing: get an image editor that deserves the name. The sticky thread in Digital Darkroom has a list, some good ones are even for free. Drop M$ photo screw ..

After your last accident you still are using that horrible software?

just viewing only.. now i smarter.. follow all your advise and work from HDD copy instead of memory card and nothing happened..
